NextPlaySoft is ready for Brazil

Since January 1st, 2025, only companies authorized by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting of Brazil's Ministry of Finance (SPA/MF) may operate fixed-odds betting nationwide — a category that, under Brazilian law, covers both sports betting and online games. Authorized sites operate under the .bet.br domain and answer to an extensive set of technical and conduct rules. What the regulation requires

The regime was structured mainly by Law No. 14,790/2023 and regulated through SPA/MF ordinances (portarias). Operator authorization is governed by SPA/MF Ordinance No. 827/2024, which sets corporate, integrity, financial and technical requirements. And the demands do not stop at the authorization: platforms, betting systems and online games must meet their own technical requirements and undergo certification — as established, among others, by SPA/MF Ordinance No. 722/2024 (operation of betting systems and data delivery to SIGAP) and SPA/MF Ordinance No. 1,207/2024 (technical requirements for the approval of online games and live game studios), with certification carried out by certifying entities accredited under SPA/MF Ordinance No. 300/2024.
